Cher Lloyd opens up to MTV News about her acting debut on ‘Big Time Rush.’ |
 Cher Lloyd is certainly no stranger to the small screen. She got her start as a contestant on “X Factor” U.K., and now U.S. audiences will be treated to her bold, feisty persona when she appears on “Big Time Rush.” “I’m very nervous to see it, actually. I haven’t seen it and this is the first thing I’ve ever really done within acting. You know because I’m a singer I can kind of be let off a little bit if it’s rubbish,” she laughed to MTV News. “I had such a great time there. And it was kind of crazy because you see the other actors and actresses and they’re so young and yet they’ve been doing it for such a long time. They’re so experienced. And then someone like me who gets to be onstage all the time, it was quite difficult.” Cher plays herself in an episode airing Thursday on Nick. Her drama revolves around Big Time Rusher James, who creates an Internet rumor he’s recording with the Brit pop singer. Lloyd added, “I was very impressed and kind of blown away by the fact that they were so good.” |

KidFest goes Big Time with Kendall Schmidt and Logan Henderson |
 Logan and Kendall from Big Time Rush will be there. So will Jillian Jensen from last season’s “The X-Factor.” Ditto for pop duo L2, known for their dance songs “Insomniac” and “Boys and Girls.” And then there’s Alex Angelo, also known as DJ Beatboy, a middle schooler from Ohio who has done some opening-act mixing for the likes of Justin Bieber, Pitbull and Carly Rae Jepsen. Throw in some games and activities plus food vendors from Chik-Fil-A to Papa Johns Pizza to Bruster’s Ice Cream, and you’ve got KidFest, a day-long family festival running noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Ocala Entertainment Complex. Also family friendly is the beneficiary of the event, the Marion County Literacy Council. |

Listen to “Picture This” and See Cher Lloyd In This Week’s Episode |
While Season 4 of Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush kicked off last week, this Thursday’s (May 9) episode has a bit of extra star power. Everyone’s favorite hockey-players-turned-boy-band spend some air time with none other than “Want U Back” songstress Cher Lloyd. Idolator is premiering stills from tomorrow’s show, which airs at 8 p.m., as well as a snippet of BTR’s song “Picture This,” from their forthcoming album 24/seven. Kendall, James, Carlos and Logan worked with such songwriters and producers as The Suspex, Claude Kelly, Matt Squire and Matt Thiessen on 24/seven, which the quartet will promote via their nationwide, 38-city Summer Break Tour. Mall of America is getting a big-time rush! |
 Big Time Rush will be doing a live with Mall of America on Wednesday, May 29th in the Rotunda. (Time is TBD.) The Mall of America website says: “We are hosting a live chat with Big Time Rush! Big Time Rush Land Austin Mahone, Nick Cannon For Season Finale |
